Material Handler - Pick Pack Ship

- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: 8:00 AM – 6:30 PM
About the Role
This position is responsible for accurate receiving, storing, shipping, repackaging, and palletizing of product to meet company standards for sanitation, safety, security, and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Pick and pack (order picking and/or assembly of products in less than full case lots), light assembly (assembly of light mechanical or electrical component parts or sub-assemblies that may require the use of hand tools), and record storage.
- Repair and recoup damaged goods as required.
- Count all product, compare to manifest, and check all shipments for damage, infestation, and production code dates. Report shortages, damages, and miss-shipments on appropriate forms.
- Perform unload/load activities for shipments as necessary.
- Efficiently relocate, stack, and store merchandise.
- Ensure the correct number and type of product is picked.
- Transport orders to shipping locations or delivery platforms with material handling equipment.
- Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed.
- Assist in physical inventories and cycle counts.
- Ensure proper stock rotation.
- Comply with all safety policies, practices, and procedures. Report all unsafe activities to supervisor.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.
- Provide leadership to others through example and sharing of knowledge/skill.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D.; or one to three months of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical & Environmental Demands
- Work environment includes both outdoors and indoor shop settings with adequate ventilation. Exposure to vibration, improperly illuminated or awkward and confining workspaces, and working above ground level where the possibility of falling exists.
- Frequent lifting and carrying of items, with loud noises typical.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds unassisted.
- Must be able to carry and climb a ladder.
- Capable of standing and walking for extended periods (at least 2 hours straight, four times in an 8-hour day).
- Must be able to twist, stoop, squat, reach above shoulder level, and crouch on a frequent basis.
- Must be able to use hands and feet simultaneously and for repetitive movements.
