Material Handler - Part Time (Warehouse like)

FedEx team members are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of equipment used to move packages, documents, heavyweight freight, dangerous goods, and Unit Load Devices (ULDs).

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment for the movement of packages, documents, heavyweight freight, dangerous goods, and ULDs.
• Assist in the buildup and breakdown of pallets containing heavyweight freight.
• Serve as liaison between FedEx and ULD repair vendors as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance from the ground to chest level.
• Able to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. using appropriate equipment or assistance from another person.
• Able to walk, stand, bend, and squat for designated work hours.
• Able to maneuver packages above shoulder level, in enclosed spaces, and stack packages above one’s head if required.
• Able to work in all weather conditions if required at the work location.
• Able to climb stairs and ladders if required at the work location.
• Successfully complete all basic and re-currency training.
• Effectively communicate in a timely manner in a noisy operations environment.
• Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Non-covered safety-sensitive position; must maintain a constant state of alertness and work safely.

Pay

$21.00 per hour.

Schedule

• Shift 1: Tuesday to Saturday, 5:30 AM to 9:30 AM
• Shift 2: Monday to Friday, 5:00 AM to 8:30 AM
