Material Handler - Part Time (Warehouse like)

Responsibilities

• Provides safe and efficient operation of equipment used for the movement of packages, documents, heavyweight freight, dangerous goods, and ULDs.
• Assists in the buildup and breakdown of pallets containing heavyweight freight.
• Serves as liaison between the company and ULD repair vendor, as required.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Able to lift 50 lbs. without assistance from the ground to chest level and to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. using appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
• Able to walk and stand for designated work hours.
• Able to bend and squat for designated work hours.
• Able to maneuver packages above shoulder level.
• Ability to maneuver packages in enclosed spaces and stack packages above one’s head if required at location.
• Able to work in all weather conditions if required at work location.
• Able to climb stairs and ladders if required at work location.
• Able to successfully complete all basic and re-currency training.
• Ability to communicate both timely and effectively in a noisy operations environment.
• Non-covered safety-sensitive position; a drug screen is required.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• Valid driver's license required.

Pay

Pay range: $21.25/hr.

• Part-time employees who have completed 91 days of employment and worked an average of at least 17 hours per week are also eligible for medical, dental, and/or vision coverage and FSA participation.
• Employees may receive up to $5,250 per calendar year in educational assistance for tuition and other approved education expenses after completing 90 continuous days of employment.

Schedule

Shift available: Saturday 5:30 PM – 11:30 PM, plus Monday through Friday (one day off per week) 5:30 PM – 11:30 PM.
