Material Handler - Part Time (Warehouse like)

About the role

Provides safe and efficient operation of equipment used for the movement of packages/documents/heavyweight, dangerous goods and ULDs. Assists in the buildup/breakdown of pallets containing heavyweight freight. Serves as liaison between company and ULD repair vendor, as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate equipment for moving packages/documents/heavyweight, dangerous goods and ULDs safely and efficiently.
• Assist in the buildup and breakdown of pallets containing heavyweight freight.
• Act as liaison between the company and ULD repair vendor when required.

Requirements

• Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance from the ground to chest level.
• Ability to maneuver packages of any weight above 50 lbs. using appropriate equipment and/or assistance from another person.
• Ability to walk and stand for designated work hours.
• Ability to bend and squat for designated work hours.
• Ability to maneuver packages above shoulder level.
• Ability to maneuver packages in enclosed spaces and stack packages above one’s head if required at location.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions if required at work location.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders if required at work location.
• Ability to successfully complete all basic and re-currency training.
• Ability to communicate both timely and effectively in a noisy operations environment.

Job Conditions

• Non-covered safety sensitive position; a drug screen is required.
• Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.
• Must possess a valid driver's license, as operating motorized conveyances is required.

Schedule

• Shift 1: Sunday to Thursday, 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM.
• Shift 2: Monday to Friday, 6:00 PM to 12:00 AM.

Pay

$18.79 per hour.
