Material Handler - Paragould/Jonesboro Distribution Center
About the role
Your Job Anchor Packaging, a Georgia Pacific company, is seeking Material Handlers to join their dynamic team at the Distribution facilities in Paragould and Jonesboro. The primary responsibility of Material Handlers is to operate forklift and material handling equipment in the distribution center and/or manufacturing area. They will receive and move all materials and products to staging or storage areas and arrange them for proper movement when needed. Work is performed under the direction of the warehouse supervisor/manager or material handling manager.
Responsibilities
- Moves raw materials and stock in warehouse or manufacturing facility, shipping lines, and other storage areas using forklift and material handling equipment
- Performs all system-related transactions to ensure inventory accuracy goals
- Aids in preparing materials orders or truck orders and assists in maintaining accurate raw materials, pallets, and carton counts for the warehouse supervisor and/or material handling manager
- Restocks raw materials and picks locations for order fulfillment
- Loads and unloads trucks
- Maintains a clean manufacturing facility and/or warehouse and forklift daily
- Performs preventative maintenance and minor repairs on material handling equipment
- Responsible for adhering to all safety procedures in the performance of job duties
Qualifications
- Experience operating a forklift
What Will Put You Ahead
- Forklift Certification
- Experience working in a warehouse or manufacturing setting
Pay & Schedule
- Day Shift: 5:00am to 5:00pm - Paragould Distribution Center
- Night Shift: 6:00pm to 6:00am - Lincoln Building - Jonesboro Distribution Center
