About the Role
The purpose of this position is to carry out assigned duties, primarily focused on material handling within the Packing Department but support all departmental needs as business demands require.
Responsibilities
- Moves materials from packed staging area to shipping and storage area.
- Returns empty pallets to packing area for reuse.
- Performs daily maintenance and inspection of forklift.
- Assist in loading and unloading of inbound and outbound shipments.
- Assist in combing pallets to better utilize warehouse space.
- Keeps assigned work area clean at all times.
- Complete any other related duties required and/or assigned by supervisor or manager.
- Must be able to operate a side loader.
Requirements
- High School diploma/GED (minimum).
- Preferred at least 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment as a material handler.
- Preferred at least 1 year experience in a manufacturing environment as a mobile equipment operator.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively for up to 12 hours per shift.
- Good computer skills.
- Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
Pay
The hourly pay range for this position is $17.88–$21.35, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
Travel Requirements
The travel required for this position is 1%.
