About the role
Material Handler at a medical-device company, working in a temperature-controlled environment (35–46 °F) for up to 8 hours per day.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 11:00 AM–7:30 PM (1st shift)
- 40 hours per week
Pay
$16–$20 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, conveyors, cranes, handcarts, and power trucks to move materials, parts, assemblies, and finished goods within the plant, office, or warehouse.
- Maintain records as required.
- Develop and apply basic skills in material-handling tasks, techniques, and procedures.
- Follow established standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality guidelines.
- Perform routine tasks under general to limited supervision.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 0–1 year of warehouse or related experience and/or training.
- Ability to obtain and maintain required licenses, training, or certifications (e.g., forklift certification).
- Basic training in material handling, logistics, or manufacturing production.
- Effective communication skills; ability to read, write, interpret documents in English, and perform basic math calculations.
- Ability to work in a metrics-driven environment.
- General computer skills.
Physical demands
- Regularly required to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, balance, climb, lift, crouch, reach, pull, push, grasp, talk, hear, and twist.
- Frequent use of hands for fingering, handling, feeling, picking, or typing, which may include repetitive motion of wrists, hands, or fingers.
- Ability to lift and/or move objects over 50 lbs.
