Material Handler (M-F Overnights)

Position Summary

The General Warehouse Associate is responsible for picking, scanning, labeling, moving, staging, replenishing, and stacking product. This individual is also responsible for counting and inspecting product and notifying leadership when there are damages or discrepancies. These Associates are accountable for the safe and efficient operation of all equipment and will be expected to perform all duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Picking Responsibilities: Using a pallet jack to accurately pick orders to fulfill client demands, efficiently and accurately picking products and staging in the appropriate areas, stacking, packaging, banding, shrinking wrapping, and labeling products as determined by client requirements.
• Quality Control Responsibilities: Ensuring all products and orders are received, handled, and shipped correctly, verifying that products and/or orders meet quality standards, including reporting any damages or discrepancies, stacking, packaging, shrinking wrapping, and labeling products.
• Safety, Housekeeping, and Compliance: Executing all safety protocols, maintaining a clean, neat, orderly work area, and assisting in security of the warehouse, complying with all Standard Operating Procedures, corporate and site-specific policies, safety rules, and OSHA/SDS Standards.
• Equipment Operation: Operating all equipment in a safe and efficient manner and following prescribed work methods, performing or assisting in building, grounds, and equipment maintenance as assigned.

Other Duties

Performs other duties as assigned. Works overtime as dictated by business whether mandatory or voluntary.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current or prior MHE certification preferred.

• Ability to lift/carry and push/pull: 21-50 pounds
• Reach above shoulder, reach outward, squat, or kneel.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee rarely is exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
