Material Handler II

Absolutely Required

• Able to perform all Material I duties
• Comply with all quality, safety, and work rules and regulations
• Operate automated and stretch wrapping equipment
• Basic forklift operating skill and knowledge

Essential Duties

• Move raw materials (preforms, boxes, trays, etc.) from staging area(s) to required location
• Continually check the production lines to ensure that each has all necessary amounts of correct raw materials
• Secure finished goods on pallet per customer's specifications
• Document required information on reports such as the preform pack ID's, and finished goods pack IDs used
• Verify pallet is complete before moving from production line
• Move finished product to wrapping staging area, wrap pallets with plastic wrap per requirements
• Move wrapped pallets to designated area
• Assist with de-palletizing of product, restacking product, reworking product
• Adhere to all instructions, Good Manufacturing Practices and housekeeping procedures
• Clean work area continually i.e., sweep work areas
• Take trash, recyclable materials and pallets to designated locations
• Give breaks as directed by lead
• Take inventory of raw materials and finished goods as directed by the Lead, scan or delete Pack ID's into MRP system
• Communicate any issues or quality concerns related to the product to co-workers, Lead, Process techs or shift change co-workers
• Operate a Lift Machine
• Must be able to pass sit down fork lift certification
• Move, stack and stage product i.e., (boxes, preforms, and trays)

Education and/or Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Experience operating a pallet jack is preferred
• Forklift experience preferred
