About the Role

This is a temp-to-hire, full-time position. Strong performers may be considered for permanent placement based on business need.

Shift: 2nd – Monday - Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM. Note: The candidate must be able to train for up to 60 days on 1st shift.

This position assists in properly handling materials, maintaining inventory accuracy, and providing internal and external customer service. Performs stockroom functions including production order picking, warehouse storage, packaging of finished goods, inventory control, supply documentation, data input, and material distribution and delivery as assigned per location requirements. Works with a team to ensure smooth and efficient daily operations within the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Operate powered industrial equipment (forklift, pallet jack, company vehicle as authorized) to transport raw materials, finished goods, tooling, and supplies between warehouse and production work centers in a safe and compliant manner.
  • Support material flow to production by staging tools, fixtures, and raw materials in accordance with the production schedule to minimize downtime and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Receive, verify, and document incoming shipments; load and unload trucks while ensuring material accuracy, condition, and traceability.
  • Perform inventory transactions in the ERP system (IQMS) including material moves, receipts, issues, and adjustments to maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Store materials, pallets, and containers (including large gaylords) in designated rack locations following FIFO, lot control, and traceability requirements.
  • Maintain organization of CNC fixtures, thermoforming tools, and production support equipment in assigned storage locations.
  • Prepare, label, tag, and package materials for internal transfer or external shipment in accordance with customer and regulatory requirements.
  • Support warehouse 5S initiatives, waste management, and continuous improvement activities to maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
  • Assist Shipping and Receiving operations as needed to meet business demands.
  • Comply with all safety policies, OSHA requirements, and company procedures; immediately report hazards, near misses, or safety concerns.
  • Conduct routine inventory cycle counts and support discrepancy resolution to maintain inventory accuracy targets.
  • Perform basic equipment checks and report maintenance needs for material handling equipment.
  • Other duties as required in support of the department and the company.

This role does not include supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Two (2) or more years of experience in warehouse, stockroom, or inventory control positions.
  • One (1) year of experience operating a forklift.
  • Forklift Operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift training program required within the first 60 days of employment.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; conversational in any other language is a plus.
  • Basic arithmetic: add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, decimals, and percentages.
  • Beginner in MS Office Suite and SharePoint; knowledge of ERP systems, IQMS preferred.
  • Sound knowledge of fundamental material handling processes including customer order fulfillment, inventory control, supply documentation, data and transactional management, material distribution, warehouse or stockroom control techniques, and cycle or physical counting.
  • Ability to be flexible and function comfortably in a fast-paced, constantly changing, and ambiguous environment.
  • Demonstrates sound judgment when following through with priorities.
  • Ability to effectively answer questions from managers and employees.
  • Ability to handle interruptions and maintain focus.
  • Experience working with an RF Gun preferred.
  • Understanding and experience in a Lean manufacturing environment; ability to participate in continuous improvement projects and 5S-related performance teams.
  • Writing skills required to complete documents and forms.
  • Reliable and flexible to work additional hours on short notice to complete orders and/or special projects to meet customer demands.
  • A team player who can relate to people at all levels of the organization and possesses excellent communication skills.

Physical Demands

As part of their job duties, the employee must be able to sit, stand, and walk throughout the day while frequently using their hands to handle objects and communicate verbally. Additionally, they may need to reach, stretch, push, pull, crouch, stoop, and occasionally lift objects weighing up to fifty (50) pounds. This role requires specific vision abilities, including close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Work Environment

Manufacturing environment: A work setting in a manufacturing plant where goods production occurs. The environment may vary in terms of noise, temperature, safety, and demand depending on the type of product and process. Common characteristics include the use of machinery and exposure to hazards such as chemicals, heat, dust, or noise, with a culture of teamwork, communication, and continuous improvement.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements:

  • ASTM F–2412–2005, ANSI Z41–1999, or ANSI Z41–1991 rated safety toe shoes in specific areas.
  • Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety-rated glasses in specific areas.
  • Hearing protection in specific locations.
  • Ability to comply with Job Safety Analysis (JSA) in specific areas.

Pay

This position's salary range falls between $17.75 and $22.21 hourly. The final offer considers factors such as the position's responsibilities, scope of work, candidate's work experience, education/training, essential skills, internal pay equity, and market considerations.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM. Approximately 10% travel is expected.
