About the Role
Actively supporting the Stockroom function in all material-related and control tasks. This role involves accurately and safely performing warehouse activities, including the physical movement of material with corresponding system transactions, supporting verifications, and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Coordinates the movement of material to necessary manufacturing areas to support production schedules.
- Physically and systematically executes material movements involving all types of material requiring replenishment to manufacturing areas.
- Executes material movements to areas outside of manufacturing (e.g., shipping, parts prep, office personnel).
- Utilizes RF scanners for performing ERP transactions.
- Operates material handling equipment as needed.
- Maintains organization of Bin Management and First In First Out (FIFO) processes.
- Returns unused materials to the stockroom from manufacturing areas using RF scanners.
- Properly disposes of scrap components.
- Pulls material for purges from stock as needed.
- Performs Warehouse Cycle-counts where appropriate.
- Verifies material movements and paperwork to ensure correct physical and system movement of material.
- May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the public.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Proficiency in operating a personal computer, including Windows-based systems and related software.
- Advanced PC skills, including training and knowledge of Jabil’s software packages.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to read and understand visual aids.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
- Ability to handle standardized situations with occasional or no variables.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Basic math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.
