Material Handler II (7:00pm-7:00am)-$18.00/hr + $1.00/hr night shift differential

We are currently looking for a Material Handler II to be based out of Thomasville, GA. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, this role operates on a night shift schedule.

About the role

The Material Handler II will pack finished goods, monitor products for defects, assist in the start-up or changeover of products, and maintain a clean and organized work area.

Responsibilities

• Bundle pipe according to inventory and shipping specifications
• Update Hour by Hour boards and compare colors, shapes, textures, or grades of products or material with templates or samples to verify conformance to quality standards
• Operate and observe machinery during production, assist with Quality Control duties utilizing quality tools
• Collaborate with co-workers, supervisors, and managers to achieve productivity and site goals
• Adhere to all safety procedures and report potentially unsafe conditions immediately

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
• Machine operation or mechanical skill set experience
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes desired
• Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted

Onboarding milestones

Within 3 months, you’ll:

• Complete any required training
• Have developed relationships with the key stakeholders for this role
• Be well-versed in Atkore’s Business System and the importance of your role to daily operations

Pay

$18.00 per hour plus a $1.00 per hour night shift differential. Placement in the range depends on competencies, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business needs. Other compensation may include overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
