Material Handler II ($18.00/hour)-Night Shift

About the role

We are seeking a Material Handler II for our Tampa, FL location. This night-shift position reports to the Shift Lead and involves packing finished goods, monitoring products for defects, assisting with product start-up or changeover, and maintaining a clean and organized work area.

Responsibilities

• Bundle pipe according to inventory and shipping specifications.
• Update hour-by-hour boards and compare products with templates or samples to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Operate and observe machinery during production; assist with Quality Control duties using quality tools.
• Collaborate with co-workers, supervisors, and managers to achieve productivity and site goals.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and report unsafe conditions immediately.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing or general labor preferred.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

What you’ll learn

• Pack and bundle PVC conduit per packaging standards within 3 months.
• Understand the PVC pipe manufacturing process from start to finish.
• Assist with quality control duties, including monitoring saw cuts, measuring pipe length, and ensuring product color accuracy.
• Become forklift-certified.

Pay

As of the date of this posting, the estimated pay for this position is $18.00 per hour. Placement in the range depends on competencies, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business needs. Other compensation may include overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and incentives.
