About the role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Material Handler II to support warehouse operations and inventory management initiatives. In this role, you will be responsible for handling materials, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting large-scale cycle count and inventory improvement efforts in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Open containers using hand tools
- Count, weigh, and sample materials
- Use computer systems to track, log, verify, and record inventory data
- Load and unload materials from pallets, trays, and containers manually
- Perform physical inventory counts using manual counts or weighing methods
- Support large-scale inventory initiatives, including cycle counts and process improvements
- Review and interpret shipping documents and inventory records
- Maintain organization and accuracy in inventory processes
- Follow all safety guidelines and warehouse procedures
- Contribute to team objectives and support operational deadlines
Requirements
- High school diploma
- 3+ years of experience in inventory management or warehouse operations
- Experience working in a warehouse environment
- Valid driver’s license
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to read and understand shipping and inventory documentation
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Basic to advanced math skills
- Proficiency with computers, including Microsoft Outlook and Office tools
- Experience using handheld scanners for inventory tracking
- Ability to operate forklifts (propane or electric-powered)
- Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, holidays, or non-standard shifts when required
- Must be at least 18 years old
