About the role

Material Handler I assists in accurately handling inventory according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Materials team works together to receive, pick, pack, and ship product to customers.

Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory, including cycle counting and stock rotation.
  • Use warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking and reporting inventory.
  • Apply basic problem-solving skills for handling discrepancies in orders or inventory.
  • Read and interpret work instructions.
  • Perform basic computer functions related to data entry.
  • Organize space efficiently for inventory management.
  • Lift, move, and handle materials safely.
  • Cross-train and support all Material Handler I roles.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Operation of basic material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, hand trucks).
  • Ability to use and accurately read measuring devices (tape measures).
  • Ability to use hand tools (hammer, wrench, level, etc.).
  • Ability to follow blueprints.
  • Ability to read and interpret Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Basic computer proficiency (data entry).
