About the role
This position is located at the Phoenix, Arizona branch for MGX Equipment Services and reports to the Parts Manager.
Responsibilities
- Receives, stores, and ships/distributes equipment, materials, tools, merchandise, and similar items in a storeroom or warehouse.
- Unpacks, sorts and inspects items for damage.
- Maintains a clean and organized warehouse.
- Ensures accuracy of records and logs.
- Performs job functions in a safe manner.
- Wears all Personal Protective Equipment (P.P.E.) required by Company policy for the job being performed.
- Knows and follows established job-specific and facility-wide safety and health procedures and rules.
- Actively participates in safety and health training and demonstrates competency based on training received.
- Brings safety and health issues, unsafe acts, and safety suggestions to management’s attention or corrects those you can.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Prior experience within a warehouse in a construction or heavy equipment environment preferred.
- Basic computer skills.
- Experience operating a forklift a strong plus.
- Must have excellent communication skills with a customer/client focus.
Working Conditions
- This is a 1st shift position; weekend work may be possible based on business conditions.
