About the role

Cornwallton Building Brands is seeking a motivated individual to join our team as a Machine Operator. The ideal candidate will operate machines, provide guidance to line help, and ensure production meets company goals.

Responsibilities

• Operate machines and instruct line help to safely meet production, customer, and company goals and requirements
• Support company Core Values, participate in Safe Work environment, and complete observations
• Inspect equipment for safety
• Read and understand a production order
• Maintain productivity and quality standards
• Use forklift, crane, and manual handling of materials, complete proper documentation for materials produced
• Read and understand production orders
• Communicate effectively with Team, Supervisor, and Management
• Maintain promotability to Operator II and Operator III
• Stand and walk for 8 to 12 hours daily
• Varying and extreme working conditions outside (Hot, Cold, Rain, Shine)

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a related area
• Basic Microsoft knowledge
• Side forklift, bander, nail gun, overhead crane, saws, and various pneumatic equipment experience
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist

Skills

• Good communication skills
• Ability to read and understand production orders
• Knowledge of safety protocols
