Material Handler (Dandori)

About the role

The Dandori is responsible for moving finished goods to the warehouse, ensuring that they are scanned into the inventory system. Safety is a key factor in this role, and the Dandori will utilize electric pallet jacks, fork trucks, and tuggers to transport goods. The Dandori will also maintain the empty totes area and work with various departments at the plant, adhering to standard work instructions and customer expectations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor presses and supply them with totes and racks as required
• Ensure correct Kanban cards are used for product produced
• Ensure proper scanning of Kanban cards to ensure inventory accuracy
• Work with a Zebra Carrying Case for Handheld PC
• Ensure delivery of finished goods to proper locations
• Perform 5S every day
• Follow the correct order selection process
• Prioritize and organize items in sequence
• Other duties may be assigned

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum of 6 months of material handling, order selecting, or warehouse experience
• Minimum of 2 years of forklift experience preferred
• Forklift Driver certification preferred
• Forklift Training assessment available after 2 months of employment

Skills

• Use of a scanning gun to scan totes coming off the production line
• Basic math skills
• Minimal analytical, planning, and critical thinking abilities
• Ability to read, write, and speak English (bilingual English-Spanish preferred)
• Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and tasks

Physical Requirements

100% of the time will be spent on the production plant floor, walking, standing, and engaged in activities associated with the role. Must be comfortable with lifting, squatting, and repetitive motion, and able to team lift a minimum of 50 pounds, 25 pounds alone.
