Material Handler/ Cherry Picker Operator - RF Experience Necessary

Wasserstrom Company, established in 1902 and headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, is the nation’s leading food service distributor. This position is located at our Dallas Distribution Center in Grand Prairie.

About the role

As a Material Handler, you will load and unload product shipments from trucks to the shipping/receiving platform, pick/put-away/count product in case or pallet quantities, and use an RF scanner or pick label to verify item, quantity, and location. You will also operate multiple pieces of motorized equipment safely and properly.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload product shipments from trucks to shipping/receiving platform
• Pick, put-away, and count product from/to racking in case or pallet quantities
• Use RF scanner and/or pick label to verify item, quantity, and location for picking and receiving
• Operate multiple pieces of motorized equipment in a safe and proper manner

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
• 1–2 years of previous forklift experience preferred but not required

Schedule

First shift: 5:00 AM–1:00 PM, Monday–Friday. Saturdays required when needed.
