Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Performing each phase of job in full compliance with all company, state and/or federal safety and environmental regulations.
• Obtain Valeo certification to safely operate Valeo powered industrial equipment.
• Perform safety checks on equipment prior and throughout the shift depending on any additional circumstances.
• Follow equipment procedures at all times.
• Work with established production schedules, pre-stage required supplies and materials to supply and service operators, machines, and/or processing positions with proper materials and supplies to maintain continuous and uninterrupted process flow.
• Obtain, move, and/or store raw, in-process, and/or finished materials and supplies to and from production and other designated areas manually or with assigned material handling equipment in accordance with standard procedure as required.
• Arrange storage, hold and production supply areas in a manner to facilitate proper rotation, appearance, and accessibility while respecting zoning, 5S and improvements by their team.
• Assume additional responsibility for SAP System.

Qualifications/Skills

• Flexible work availability and comfortable with overtime as needed.
• Ability to read and understand general work instructions.
• Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal.
• Reliable, have good initiative, committed, and safety focused.
• Ability to perform repetitive duties while standing for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift 20-50 lbs on a daily basis.
• Valid state issued driver's license.
• 2 years shipping and receiving experience preferred.
• Required PPE: Safety Glasses, Safety Shoes, Class II Vest, Hardhat.
