Brief Description Material Handler POSITION TITLE: Material Handler LOCATION: Mira Loma EXPERIENCE LEVEL: 1 – 3 years REPORTS TO: Production Supervisor Date Reviewed APPROVED BY: General Manager JOB LEVEL: Experienced DEPARTMENT: Warehouse Major Tasks, Responsibilities, And Key Accountabilities Utilize a manual pallet jack to load, unload, move, stack, stage and count product and materialsUse a forklift to load, unload, move, stack, stage and count product and materialsPerforming inventory counts for accuracy and discrepanciesShipping and receiving duties as assignedUse radio frequency equipment for picking, receiving and put-a-waySafe and efficient operation of the vehiclePerform order filler and checker dutiesMaintain equipment and perform pre-operation checks according to policyFollowing health, safety, and cleanliness standardsOther duties as assigned Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma/GED6 months MHE/forklift experience preferredAttention to detail and commitment to accuracyExperience using warehouse management and inventory systemsRefrigeration, warehouse, production, or manufacturing experience preferredAbility to perform basic mental mathAbility to communicate in English (speak, read, and write)Ability to balance productivity, quality, and safetyAbility to work in a fast-paced environment Working Conditions This job operates in wet and cold environment located within a manufacturing facility. The average temperature is 32 degrees. This position requires the ability to stand for 8 to 10 hours shifts and perform repetitive bending, twisting and lifting. It requires the ability to lift 45 lbs. on a regular basis and up to 75 lbs. rarely.
