Material Handler

Essential Responsibilities

• Receive and ship all materials to and from the Service Center facility
• Ensure timeliness, proper preservation, and satisfactory packaging or boxing of all materials to be shipped
• Verify satisfactory completion of all customer-required details such as markings, documents, and carriers
• Maintain customer satisfaction for timeliness of delivery
• Ensure all work methods conform with company rules and regulations, attendance policies, variations, and safety procedures
• Maintain required levels of productivity, quality, and throughput
• Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Ability to use tools such as band saws, jig saws, nail guns, and other hand tools required to perform shipment of large items that may require palletizing or crating
• Ability to build wooden crates for shipping
• Computer literacy and ability to learn company-specific programs (Epicor)
• Operate powered industrial lift (fork truck)
• Operate an overhead crane
