Material Handler
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Material Handler to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in helping us achieve our mission by ensuring the smooth transition of material from our Warehouse to specified manufacturing/assembly cells located on our factory floor.
Responsibilities
- Order and manage the material flow from our offsite warehouse to our manufacturing/assembly areas.
- Ensure prompt and accurate replenishment with all transactions being real-time.
- Store delivered materials in proper inventory locations.
- Assist Warehouse Manager and Value Stream Managers in resolving inventory discrepancies on the manufacturing floor.
- Perform cycle counts as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Value Stream Manager.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1-3 years' experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Able to operate power equipment (forklifts, turret machine, order picker, and electric pallet jacks).
- Ability to follow both verbal and written work instructions.
- Must pass a Basic Math and English test that will be provided.
- Willing to become certified as a Forklift operator.
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of JDE system, material transactions, and material replenishment system (a plus).
- Understanding of the KANBAN system and how it functions.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Requires up to 8 hours of walking and/or standing.
- Ability to bend, lift, and carry up to 35 lbs.
- Physically move skids of material using a manual or powered pallet jack.
- Requires gripping, turning, and pulling equipment.
