Shift Type All Select How Often (in Days) To Receive An Alert Select how often (in days) to receive an alert: APPLY NOW » Material Handler Location: Wilmington, NC, US, 28401 Job Description The Wilmington, NC site currently has an opening for a Material Handling Operator. This position reports directly to the Production Superintendent. The successful candidate will have prior experience in locomotive operations and railcar loading and unloading. This role is scheduled on 8‑hour day shifts, five days per week, with some weekend overtime required. Candidates must also have the flexibility to adjust their work schedule as needed to support business needs. Job Responsibilities And Expectations Operate locomotive safely through high traffic areas multiple times daily.Create blended products accurately from recipes to mee customer orders. Loading rail cars / tank trucks with polyol per site procedures.Maintain railcar inventory, organize, weigh, and separate between 11 different product railcars, loaded or empty.Inspect track and switches daily and notify supervision on any issues that need addressing.Offloading raw material from rail cars / tanks trucks. Qualifications Required Skills: High school diploma or GEDValid driver’s licenseExperience in industrial utilities or chemical manufacturing operationsExperience troubleshooting / applying mechanical skills for minor repairs on process equipment Preferred Skills 2-year minimum experience in industrial utilities or chemical manufacturingFork-lift certified and Lull certification Chemical material handling experienceExperience moving and spotting railcars SAP experience Education High school diploma or GED Established in 1932, Stepan Company is a major manufacturer of basic and intermediate chemicals including surfactants, polymers, as well as specialty ingredients that go into consumer, household, and institutional products such as laundry detergents, shampoos, and surface cleaners.
