Ryder is hiring Material Handlers in Cambridge, MD. The positions offer weekly pay, excellent benefits, and a career path that prioritizes safety and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Perform warehouse functions such as loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
  • Auditing, staging, and loading/unloading of products and trucks
  • Handling paperwork in a warehouse environment, including picking sheets, returns, bills of lading, etc.
  • Providing technical and maintenance support for automated packing systems during peak production hours
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience
  • Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Professional relationships within all levels of the organization
  • High degree of initiative and accuracy
  • Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
  • Standing for long periods of time
  • Flexible scheduling to work various shifts
  • Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up practices

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience preferred
  • Valid Forklift Operator's License certified
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
  • Ability to work within a diverse work environment
  • Highly thorough and dependable
  • Punctual and good attendance record

Pay

  • $21.00 per hour
  • Additional pay of $2.00 per hour for 3rd shift

Schedule

  • 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
