Material Handler

About the Role

A Material Handler is responsible for loading, unloading, and managing airline and USPS mail containers. This includes operating ground support equipment (GSE) such as trucks, tugs, and forklifts, as well as performing administrative tasks like equipment checks and reports.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload airline and USPS mail containers
• Operate GSE equipment, including trucks, tugs, and forklifts
• Scan, weigh, and validate container serviceability
• Perform equipment checks and complete administrative reports
• Adhere to safety and security standards

Requirements

• At least 18 years old
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Pass drug tests and background checks
• Obtain airport security clearance
• Physical ability to lift 70 pounds, stand, bend, push, pull, and work in a warehouse environment
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends
• Verifiable 5-year work and residence history with no recent felony charges
