Material Handler

What You'll Do As the MATERIAL HANDLER, you'll be responsible for the receiving and movement of raw materials, Work-in-Process and finished product during the manufacturing process. Other Essential Job Duties And Responsibilities Supplies raw materials as directed for scaling, blending, and mixingVerifies the materials/ingredients coming into the scaling, blending and mixing areas are correct in specification, quantity, and quality as called for by the production JobSupplies all packaging materials needed for packing finished productTransports and stages work-in-process as directedTransports finished product as directedMaintain proper and accurate inventory management of raw materials, packaging and finished product movementsMust be able to comprehend and follow directions, be trained on Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and maintain high quality workmanshipMaintain neat, concise and accurate records as requiredPerform other job duties and responsibilities, as assigned WORK ENVIRONMENT A large percentage of the time is spent in the production area where noise level can be moderate to highDuties are performed primarily in a smoke-free manufacturing environment Requirements WHAT YOU BRING (MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS) High school diploma (or equivalent) 6 plus months working in a food manufacturing environment or a related field preferred. Must be able to read, understand and follow directions given, understand Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and maintain high quality workmanship. Ability to effectively communicate with employees in various positions and at all levels. Must be willing to work overtime or on weekends, as the workload demands and occasionally with short notice. Excellent problem solving. Basic familiarity with computerized systems and basic software application.
