Material Handler

About the role

This position is located at Robins Air Force Base and involves loading, unloading, and conveying materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site. The role is labor intensive, requiring the employee to be on their feet for the majority of the shift.

Responsibilities

• Loads, unloads, and conveys materials within or near plant, yard, or work site; performs a combination of tasks under specific direction which may include shipping and/or receiving.
• Opens containers using hand tools; counts and weighs materials and records information.
• Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, conveyors, and machines by hand.
• Sorts and places material into designated Bench Stock Locations (BSL) and performs inventory using a Windows tablet.
• Conveys materials using carts, hand truck, or other devices; stacks or assembles materials.
• Orders material for bin replenishment using handheld tablet and scanner.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Valid driver’s license, current proof of insurance, and vehicle registration to drive POV onto Robins AFB.
• Steel toe footwear required; PPE must be worn in the work area.
• Ability to perform labor‑intensive work and be on feet for the majority of the shift.

Schedule

First shift: 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday.
