MATERIAL HANDLER

About the role

In this opportunity as a Material Handler, you will:

• Ability to follow written and or oral instructions
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
• Assists in the organization of all staging areas.
• Ensures all work in process loads are staged in order to meet the schedules of the next operation. Makes sure each designated staging area is kept neat and organized.
• Maintains a safe and efficient workflow by monitoring progress of each manufacturing process throughout shift, keeping up with all schedule changes and conflicts that may arise.
• Ensures timely movement of finished goods into the shipping department.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment (required)
• Forklift certification or demonstrated forklift experience (required)
• Experience operating electric pallet jacks
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
