About the Role

This Material Handler position involves a weekend schedule: Friday–Sunday, 9:00 PM to 9:00 AM (12-hour shifts). You will drive a client-supplied utility van to deliver and pick up materials between buildings in the Coralville area. A valid driver’s license and a GED or high school diploma are required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate shipping, receiving, and material handling transactions with relevant departments.
• Pick, inventory, and package materials; route them to proper departments.
• Prepare merchandise for shipment and assist as needed.
• Maintain records of transactions, verifying accuracy against bills of lading, invoices, or other documents in Oracle or similar systems.
• Set up locations in ERP and resolve purchase order or receiving discrepancies with planner-buyers.
• Organize stock for efficiency and accessibility; adhere to safety rules while operating forklifts or other material-moving tools.
• Deliver products from receiving to designated destinations.
• Expedite internal material requirements, transferring inventory to multiple locations, including MRB.
• Set up material presentations in cells using DBS tools, including the client’s Material Processing (DMP) and Visual Management systems.
• Perform inventories and cycle counts; reconcile discrepancies with assistance from Senior Material Handlers.
