Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently unload finished product from assembly lines and transport to the warehouse for storage.
• Safely and efficiently load and unload shipments from transport vendors.
• Efficiently distribute parts to workstations using forklifts, pallet jacks or hand carts.
• Responsible for retrieving parts orders for assembly and sub-assembly areas.
• Proactively work with area supervisors and keep assembly/sub-assembly stocking shelves full.
• Utilize computer terminal to locate material and supplies in warehouse.
• Use computer to enter, access or retrieve data.
• Manually or mechanically load and unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms.
• Read production schedules and work orders to determine type and quantity of materials required, availability of stock, and order priority.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a material handling, warehouse, or manufacturing support role.
• Proficiency using inventory management systems and basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
• Familiarity with ERP or warehouse management systems preferred.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy in material movement and recordkeeping.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Able to lift and move heavy materials safely and effectively (up to 50 lbs).
• Comfortable operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment (certification preferred).
• Able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to workplace safety.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; additional technical training or certification in logistics or warehouse operations is a plus.
