Material Handler

Responsibilities

• Perform any one of many of the operations necessary to operate industrial lift trucks and other material handling equipment (tuggers, pickers, mechanized pallet jacks, hoist, chain falls, and conveyers).
• Counts, checks, picks, packs, loads, moves, receives and otherwise accounts for parts, material and finished products.
• Transports parts and materials between various locations such as receiving docks to storage areas, from production to shipping docks from storage locations to assembly lines and/or between production work stations.
• Drive industrial vehicles such as fork-lifts and other equipment to move parts and material around plant premises in accordance with applicable plant license requirements.
• Load and unload various racks, conveyors and pallets in support of production.
• Replaces, tests and recharge industrial batteries.
• Picks and packs parts.
• Packs and band large parts in crates, boxes and shipping racks and on pallets.
• Insure required parts and materials are available at the prescribed production departments.
