Material Handler
About the Role
MVP is seeking to hire Material Handlers for our facility in Lenoir City, TN. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for counting, weighing, or measuring incoming shipments to verify information against invoices, orders, and bills of lading. You will also route items to various departments, put away stock, and operate a lift truck or hoist. Additionally, you will investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies and advise management of cycle count issues.
Responsibilities
- Count, weigh, or measure items of incoming shipments to verify information against invoices, orders, and bills of lading
- Examine and unpack incoming shipments; record shortages and reject damaged items
- Route items to various departments and put away stock items in proper location
- Operate lift truck or hoist
- Verify receipts and log them according to required procedures
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies
- Conduct bin and stock maintenance (physically and in ERP system)
- Advise management of cycle count issues on a timely basis
- Receive all inbound parts and transfers
- Assist with other projects as needed

Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- 1+ year of related experience preferred
- Forklift operations experience preferred
- Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs up to 2/3 of workday
- Physical activities include standing, climbing, stooping, bending, grasping, pushing, pulling, kneeling, and reaching
