Material Handler
Location: Lynn, MA | Full-Time | 2nd Shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM)
About the role
To ensure continuous and efficient operation of the material handling and issuing process, as well as all subsequent inventory transactions under a very demanding environment. Kettle Cuisine takes the utmost pride in their products and expects each employee to do the same with their work.
Responsibilities
- Always adhere to safe working practices
- Perform daily checks of area for non-compliance and report them to your manager
- Retrieve and scan out raw materials from coolers, freezer, and warehouse to production rooms
- Communicate and resolve LPN variances
- Follow the company GMP’s and HCAPP guidelines
- Ensure clean and tidy work areas including the inspections and surveillance of all packing and storage conditions
- Plan all activities to reduce downtime
- Track completed transactions via Material Requirements Report
- Complete cycle-counts when required
- Communicate and update all relevant parties of any issues or changes
- Take active lead with new employees and temporary labor
- Encourage colleagues to challenge the status quo and drive continuous improvement
- Take instructions from supervisors
- Perform any other tasks deemed reasonable and requested by management
- Communicate an end-of-shift handoff to the next shift
- End-of-shift clean and equipment check
Requirements
- Able to work under pressure at all times, responding quickly while following safety procedures
- Warehouse & Manufacturing experience, preferably in the food industry
- Experience working in temperature-controlled settings
- Understands inventory at a conceptual level
- Experience performing inventory transactions via scan gun
- Computer skills
- Ability to operate a pallet jack/forklift
- Goal-oriented & well-organized
- Ability to work all scheduled shifts, on time
- Bilingual or English-speaking required

Pay
The Warehouse Material Handler base pay range is $19 USD/hour plus shift differential. The listed salary range represents Kettle Cuisine’s good faith estimate for this position and represents the minimum and maximum for new hire salaries for the Lynn, MA location only. An employee’s rate of pay within the range is determined by their qualifications, relevant experience, and demonstrated performance over time. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth.
The Warehouse Material Handler position is eligible for our comprehensive benefits package and is eligible for the annual discretionary bonus program up to 5%.
