Material Handler

About the role

Material Handler reporting to the Production Supervisor on the Day Shift. JELD‑WEN is a leading global designer, manufacturer and distributor of high‑performance interior and exterior doors, windows and related building products serving new construction and repair‑and‑remodeling sectors.

Responsibilities

• Operate propane and/or electric forklift vehicles
• Perform start‑of‑shift preventative maintenance inspection
• Assist in inventory cycle counts as needed
• Material preparation and material handling
• Gather the necessary materials to support the assembly floor
• Assist in assembly operations
• Detect and report defective materials
• Label finished products to match appropriate paperwork
• Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
• Retrieve raw materials, semi‑finished, and finished products for proper assembly
• Other general warehouse duties as needed

Requirements

Previous experience in a manufacturing or similar environment is preferred, but not required.
