We are looking for a Material Handler to join our team! The material handler position is responsible for moving material as needed to proper areas. 1st Shift: 9:00 AM – 05:30 PM Essential Functions Receive and unload incoming shipments; verify quantities, item descriptions, and lot/serial numbers against purchase orders and packing slipsRecord all receipts in the ERP system; update inventory stock levels; maintain accurate shipping/receiving logsMove raw materials, finished goods, and supplies to designated locations through the facilityOrganize and maintain empty tubs, crates, pallets, and other containers as materials are transferredOperate forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment to move goods from dock to storage or production staging areasCommunicate with production, warehouse, and quality teams to ensure timely availability of materialsLoads and unloads materials on or from pallets, trays, racks, crates or binsTransport materials from storage areas or workstations to assigned production or staging locationsAttach identifying tags or labels to materials, create ID tags using supplier-provided informationPrepares purchase blanks for processing by transferring parts from crates and into bins and attaching appropriate documentation.Preforms daily preventative maintenance inspections on assigned equipment and document findingsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environmentCompleted other duties as assigned by management Minimum Qualifications High School diploma or the equivalent required; Associates degree preferred1-3 years’ experience working in a plant/warehouse setting, experience in material handling preferredContinuous Improvement MindsetAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions, and procedure manualsBasic math skills including ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divideAbility to operate computer and familiarize Microsoft Office SuiteStand up and Sit Down Fork lift experience requiredAbility to lift up to 50 poundsUnderstanding and compliance with safety rules and regulationsStrong verbal and written communication skillsFamiliarity with QAD ERP System Compensation Information $22.40 per hour A full range of medical, dental, vision, 401K plus up-to-six percent (6%) match, wellness program, short- and long-term disability, education assistance, and gift & volunteer matching program are also available.
