Material Handler
About the role
As a Material Handler - Logistics Associate, you will contribute to the efficiency and productivity of Irby Utilities, one of the largest utility distribution organizations in America. Your logistical expertise will help deliver dynamic solutions to essential utility services impacting local and broader communities.
Responsibilities
- Work independently to load, unload, and move materials within or near the work site.
- Utilize RF devices to fill orders and issue materials and supplies per requests.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, or dollies.
- Pack and ship customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Champion effective inventory management practices.
- Adhere to and promote safety and security policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate exceptional reliability while maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
Requirements
- Ability to reach, bend, and lift/push packages that weigh up to 50 lbs.
- Attention to detail and good time management skills.
- Ability to work full time, 40 hours per week.
Pay
You can expect a competitive and reliable wage with compensation opportunities based on personal development and performance. This role includes the PEAK Program, featuring e-learning and practical development training:
- Completion of PEAK I rewards a $1 increase to the base wage rate.
- Completion of PEAK II rewards a $2 increase to the base wage rate.
This role is eligible for an annual bonus based on the branch's annual financial performance.
