Material Handler

About the role

The primary role of the Material Handler is to move products within the plant and bring material/products to the production areas as needed. This position works with many different departments and employees at all levels to ensure products are moved, received, and shipped on time.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to move, pick, or put away product
• Accurately issue and pull products from racks for delivery to various production areas
• Make all necessary location-to-location transactions on the shop floor (V9)
• Verify all incoming or outgoing products have been entered into the Shop floor at each step
• Verify all products with the correct tag and quantity
• Ensure that all safety procedures and policies are followed
• Report any inventory issue to the Supervisor immediately
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Forklift experience
• Able to use a computer
• Must be able to multi-task and be detail-oriented
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Can perform under pressure and prioritize needs
• Must be able to push/pull up to 50 lbs
• Able to get on and off the forklift multiple times during a shift
• Able to work in hot and cold weather conditions
• Good organizational skills
• Good problem-solving skills

Pay

Salary for the position is up to $22 per hour (actual compensation will be determined based on skills and experience).

Schedule

• Full Time
• Monday-Friday 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
• Additional overtime and Saturday may be required
