Key Responsibilities
- Load, secure, move, stage, and unload products for customer orders, transfers, and deliveries while handling merchandise carefully to prevent damage.
- Assist Delivery Associates on routes as needed to support accurate product transport, unloading, and professional customer service.
- Verify products, quantities, condition, and supporting documentation before dispatch and upon return to the warehouse.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse, including aisles, staging areas, loading zones, and storage locations.
- Support inventory movement, order staging, receiving, put-away, replenishment, and other daily warehouse activities as assigned.
- Perform routine visual checks of material-handling equipment and promptly report damaged, unsafe, or malfunctioning equipment to the Branch Manager or designated supervisor.
- Follow delivery schedules, warehouse priorities, safety procedures, and company operating standards with consistency and reliability.
- Use basic warehouse equipment and mobile tools appropriately, including GPS, time-tracking applications, hand trucks, pallet jacks, and similar equipment as assigned and trained.
- Communicate clearly with supervisors, delivery personnel, customers, and team members regarding order status, product issues, or operational concerns.
- Perform physically demanding work throughout the shift and complete assigned tasks with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy and safety.
Qualifications
- Valid state-issued driver's license and reliable transportation to the Dayton work location are required.
- Prior warehouse, distribution, delivery, logistics, or material-handling experience is preferred but not required; job-specific training will be provided.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and move items weighing up to 65 pounds consistently throughout the workday.
- Strong reliability, punctuality, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional communication skills and a customer-service mindset when interacting with customers and coworkers.
- Ability to multitask, follow instructions, and maintain accuracy while working under changing operational priorities.
- Basic familiarity with GPS applications, mobile time-tracking tools, and general warehouse equipment is preferred.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with warehouse and delivery teams.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour, based on experience, qualifications, performance, and business needs.
- Schedule: Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week. Eligible for overtime pay in accordance with applicable wage-and-hour requirements.
- Paid Time Off: Up to eighty (80) hours of paid leave/vacation annually for eligible full-time employees, subject to company policy and eligibility requirements.
- Paid Holidays: Eligible company holidays are provided in addition to applicable paid time off, subject to company policy.
