About the Role

The Material Handler plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials within a warehouse or production environment. This position is responsible for receiving, storing, and distributing materials and products in a timely and organized manner to support operational needs. The Material Handler collaborates closely with inventory control, shipping, and receiving teams to maintain accurate stock levels and ensure materials are handled safely and correctly. Responsibilities

• Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders and packing lists.
• Store materials in designated locations, ensuring proper labeling and organization for easy retrieval.
• Pick and prepare materials for shipment or production according to work orders and schedules.
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks safely and efficiently.
• Maintain accurate inventory records by updating databases and reporting discrepancies or damages.
• Absorb regular inventory counts and audits to ensure stock accuracy.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies to maintain a safe working environment.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize material flow and resolve any logistical issues.
