Material Handler

About the role

To maintain production and distribution of product by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies, staging finished products and making the necessary inventory transactions in the ERP/MES systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintains neat and organized inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory
• Load and unload material onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand or material handling equipment
• Utilize hand held scanner to pull production materials and supplies according to picklists, record quantities and deliver to specified locations throughout the facility
• Maintains material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections; making operator repairs
• Completes cycle counting, as directed by the inventory policy

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent is required
• Familiarity with inventory control
• Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
• Good understanding of quality control principles
• Attention to detail skills
