Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- To follow basic written and/or oral instructions from the supervisor and/or lead person
- To communicate and work with various departments as required to determine needs
- To move parts, assemblies, blanks and pallets to and from locations and work stations as required to maintain normal production flow
- To use judgment in determining the placement and movement of materials and band materials for storage or shipping as required
- To use system to make warehouse transfers when moving materials and finished goods
- To help maintain correct inventory by picking or transferring material or parts in a timely manner
- To maintain storage areas in a clean, orderly manner
- To load and unload semi-trailers as needed along with moving bunks of raw board as needed
- To assist with assembly line set up and tear down as needed
Knowledge Required
- Knowledge of facility locations to enable transfer of warehouse goods where needed properly
Education and/or Experience
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Intermediate level math and communication skills
- A valid Michigan driver’s license, valid lift truck license, CDL only when required in special circumstances by company
- One to two years of general work experience, with preference placed on work in a manufacturing environment
