About the Role
To assist with loading/unloading trucks and general transfer of merchandise.
Responsibilities
- Continually load or unload trucks for daily store runs
- Correctly follow all weighing procedures
- Transfer seasonal merchandise and salvage merchandise
- Transfer carts and Gaylords to the appropriate holding area within the plant
- Fill out appropriate paperwork as required
- Maintain a safe and orderly work environment
- Follow safety procedures and report injuries and safety hazards
- Maintain good housekeeping skills including sweeping and cleaning work area at the end of shift
- Develop and maintain skills to adjust to increased level of truck runs and incoming merchandise
- Ability to work productively without close supervision
- Ability to work cooperatively and professionally with all employees, participants, customers and consumers working with and for Goodwill Industries
- Other duties as assigned by the Charlotte Plant Supervisor, Transportation Supervisor, Operations Manager, Retail Director or Vice President of Retail and Donated Goods
