Material Handler

GEOTEK is a global leader in composite technologies, engineering, and service, specializing in fiberglass crossarms and other pultruded fiberglass products for infrastructure applications.

About the role

The Material Handler supports Operations by moving material and supplies, receiving and issuing parts/components to/from the manufacturing floor, and ensuring accurate stock locations and production material availability.

Responsibilities

• Performs all Material Handler functions within company safety guidelines
• Maintains quality standards across the organization
• Supports productivity levels for multiple manufacturing areas
• Unloads inbound shipments and loads outbound shipments
• Pulls parts from stock to fulfill manufacturing orders
• Receives and backfills finished product by transacting manufacturing orders
• Fills and accounts for material requisitions from the manufacturing floor
• Places hardware/beams into stock from receiving/production floor
• Performs Cycle Counts to maintain accurate inventory balances
• Ensures forklift charging policies are followed and operator logs are completed daily
• Removes trash and recycling from the building
• Adheres to company policies and supports the organization’s mission
• Performs other duties as directed

Requirements

• High school Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of shipping or receiving experience in materials/warehouse
• Strong ability to identify components
• Effective multi-tasking and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Basic math and computer skills
• Previous inventory and forklift experience required
• Self-driven with minimal supervision
• Attention to detail with a strong emphasis on safety, quality, and productivity

Preferred: Previous use of RF scanners.

Schedule

• Week Days: Monday - Thursday, 5:00am - 3:30pm
• Week Nights: Monday - Thursday, 5:00pm - 3:30am (+ $3 shift differential)

Pay

The compensation range for this position is $22.50 – $24.50 per hour. Final offers may vary based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
