Material Handler
About the role
The Material Handler is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing parts, supplying parts to production, and maintaining proper inventory levels.
Responsibilities
- Receive - Check in, inspect, and organize incoming material, process paperwork, assist distribution, and document inventory.
- Perform incoming inspection of ASME materials and other material as required.
- Ship - Package part boxes and process part orders.
- Invent - Manage inventory levels and maintain inventory accuracy to minimize production and aftermarket parts shortages.
- Supply - Stock materials onto shelves and/or deliver to appropriate locations.
- Pick/stage - Material picking and staging for manufacturing and ability to use forklift.
- Load/unload - Load and unload trucks.
Requirements
- Demonstrated critical competencies including accountability, communication, forward thinking, thoroughness, and results orientation.
- Physical requirements include bending/stooping, carrying up to 50 pounds, frequent standing and walking, repetitive motion, sitting for extended periods, and vision (close visual acuity).
