Material Handler

About the role

FORT is seeking a Material Handler to join their logistics team on a contract-to-hire basis. This is an entry-level opportunity designed for those eager to start their career in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Packing material and prepping orders for outbound shipment
• Auditing picking slips to ensure orders are accurate and complete
• Unloading incoming shipments and auditing received material against paperwork
• Keeping work area clean, organized, and safe

Requirements

• Dependable and punctual
• Detail-oriented, especially when checking counts and paperwork
• Comfortable working on your feet and lifting up to 50 lbs
• A team player with a positive attitude

Qualifications

• Nice to have: Previous warehouse, shipping, or receiving experience
• Nice to have: Experience with a pallet jack, hand truck, or forklift
