Material Handler

About the role

FGCI, Leading Distributor of Composites materials is seeking a full-time Warehouse / Order Picker in our St, Petersburg location. This position will manage orders from warehouse staff and management, physically pull inventory from shelves to ensure accurate delivery of products.

Responsibilities

• Manage pick ticket orders
• Pull items from shelves based on number, size, color, quantity and quality requirements
• Ensure orders are accurate
• Stage items safely and correctly for delivery
• Operate handling equipment and ensure safety regulations are followed
• Monitor stock control systems and process specific orders
• Ensure warehouse goals are met
• Maintain a high level of health and safety standards
• Shrink wrap products to pallets
• Load delivery vehicles
• Pack warehouse orders as necessary
• Operate scanners so that proper order is picked and inventory is managed accurately
• Perform other general warehouse duties as assigned

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of forklift experience
• Previous experience working in a warehouse picking and packing orders
• Ability to stand/walk for 8 hours and lift heavy objects
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Keen attention to detail
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work well on a team as well as independently
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
