Material Handler

About the role

Join our team as a Material Handler and contribute to the success of our organization by assisting shop team members with receiving, shipping, and material handling tasks in a positive, collaborative work environment.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
• Load materials into vehicles and install strapping or bracing to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
• Organize and store received inventory in appropriate areas.
• Deliver materials to the proper inventory location, department, or personnel.
• Select materials from inventory to prepare kits by project, ensuring kits are complete and contain correct materials.
• Assemble crates for shipping and compress cardboard for recycling purposes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must hold a valid driver’s license with ability to travel to other work locations.
• Demonstrate computer literacy, including use of Microsoft Outlook.
• Preferred: Previous work experience in shipping or receiving areas.
• Preferred: Previous experience using hand and power tools.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

• Light industrial environment with exposure to moderate noise levels.
• Sitting, standing, and bending at the waist for up to 3 consecutive hours.
• Climbing ladders and reaching above shoulder height for extended periods.
• Exposure to fumes and airborne particles.
• Must navigate aisles of parts, equipment, and shelving units.
• Must be able to climb stairs.
• Must be able to carry or lift at least 50 pounds.

Schedule

Full-time, 1st shift (Monday - Friday).
