Material Handler

About the role

Evergreen Innovation Group, part of the DPR Family of Companies, is seeking a motivated Material Handler to join our team in Atlanta, GA.

Responsibilities

• Storing and moving materials: manage the storage, movement, and handling within a warehouse.
• Load and unload trucks, ensuring that materials are transported efficiently to and from storage areas.
• Ensure orderly production and distribution of products by pulling orders from inventory, delivering production materials and supplies where needed, and staging finished product for final distribution.
• Contribute to the orderly operation of the stock and/or materials storage area.
• Maintain inventory by identifying, labeling, and keeping materials and supplies in stock, recording the location of inventory, and reporting shortages.
• Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
• Maintain in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
• Locate and pack materials for shipping.
• Document materials and record units delivered and the location of units.
• Receive credit-return material and supplies from production by verifying materials and supply codes, lot numbers, and quantities.
• Prepare finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
• Document product shipment by recording units shipped.
• Maintain material-handling equipment by completing pre-use inspections and making operator repairs.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other machinery to move items, or signal machine operators to move materials onto and off trucks, ships, and loading docks.
• Keep inventory, loading areas, and materials clean and organized.

Physical Requirements

• Continual walking, standing, climbing, stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, and heavy lifting and carrying.
• Exposure to temperatures and varying inside conditions.

Requirements

• Forklift operator experience required.
• Computer savvy, able to generate reports, and perform data entry.
• Electrical parts and tools knowledge required.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
• Good communication skills.
