Material Handler

Pickup

• Use a pallet jack to accurately pick orders to fulfill client demands.
• Efficiently and accurately pick products and stage in the appropriate areas.
• Stack, package, band, shrink wrap and label products as determined by client requirements.
• All picking functions processed as defined by the Standard Operating Procedures.

Quality Control

• Verify that all products and orders are received, handled and shipped correctly.
• Stack, package, shrink wrap, and label products.
• All quality control functions processed as defined by the Standard Operating Procedures.

Safety, Housekeeping, and Compliance

• Execute all safety protocols.
• Maintain a clean, neat, orderly work area.
• Absorb and adapt to change in a fast-paced work environment.
• Comply with all Standard Operating Procedures, corporate and site-specific policies, safety rules, and OSHA/SDS Standards.

Equipment Operation

• Operate a pallet jack in a safe and efficient manner.
• Report and maintain equipment upkeep.

Maintenance

• Perform or assist in building, grounds and equipment maintenance as assigned.

Other Duties

• Work overtime as dictated by business.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience working in a warehouse/logistics/distribution environment preferred.
• Current or prior MHE certification preferred.

Skills

• Strong attention to detail.
• Accuracy in accomplishing job tasks in a timely manner.
• Ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance.

Physical Demands

• Handling/Fingering.
• Sitting.
• Bending.
• Constantly Walking and Standing.
• Lifting/Carrying and Pushing/Pulling 21-50 pounds.
• Reach above shoulder, reach outward, squat, or kneel.

Work Environment

• Exposure to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals is rare.
• Noisy environment is usually low to moderate.

Base Pay Range

The expected base pay range is $11.67 per hour.
